  •  1. “Emirates Woman Award” - Vandana Gandhi for excelling and providing innovation in preschool education and leadership, strategy, community service.
  •  2. 21st Century Achievement Award 2013 – UIDAI :The International Data Group (IDG) Computerworld Honours Program, Computerworld Honors Laureate has honored Government of India initiative UIDAI with 21st Century Achievement Award 2013 under the category ‘Economic Development’.
  •  3. 2013 Indian Business Leader of the Year” award: Sanjeev Goenka
  •  4. Yellow Oscar’ award - Indian short film ‘High Power’. This film (made in 2012) is based on the project- affected people of Tarapur Atomic Power Station. Pradeep Indulkar is the producer-director of this film accepted the award
  • 5. Wernher von Braun Memorial Award: APJ Abdul Kalam: The honour is given to recognise excellence in management and leadership in a space-related project

  •  7. Indian-American Arvind Mahankali wins Spelling Bee for sixth straight year
  •  8. Nasscom award - Sentinel, developed by MindHelix Technosol Pvt. Ltd., and iFollow, from Aucupa Innovative Solutions, were among the winners of Nasscom's first all-India App Fame Contest to search for mobile tools to aid personal safety of women and to help deal with emergencies.
  •  9. ‘Indian Healthcare Visionary of the Decade’ award - Dr Mukesh Hariawala (Healthcare Economist) for unveiling a unique and novel customized universal health insurance model ‘Womb to Tomb’, concept. 
  • 10. IMPAC Dublin Literary Award - Kevin Barry, for his debut novel, City of Bohane
  •  11. Venezuela journalism prize - Huga Chavez (posthumously) 
  • 12. Walter Scott Prize 2013: Tan Twan Eng (Malaysian author) for his Novel ‘The Garden of Evening Mists’ 
  • 13. Manappuram award - Vinod Rai (Former CAG), under the category of civil servant achieving excellence in public administration. Award was given by Manappuram Finance Limited (MFL).
  •  14. NTR National Literary Award (2013) - Manoj Das (Oriya writer)
  • 15. Man Booker International Prize(2013) - Lydia Davis
  • 16. United Nation's Public Service Award (2013) : Oommen Chandy (Chief Minister of Kerala) for his Mass Contact Programme 
  • 17. Asian Award: Anupam Kher, for his performances in movies like “Silver Linings Playbook“, “Bride & Prejudice“, and “Bend it Like Beckham“.
  • 18. 2013 Pulitzer Prize - Adam Johnson for fiction for his novel “The Orphan Master’s Son

  •  41. National e-Governance award - Madhya Pradesh for 2012-13, for its 'Sparsh Abhiyan' aimed towards the disabled and the aged.
  • 42. Doctorate of Civil Law – President Pranab Mukherjee was conferred an honary degree of Doctorate of Civil Law by the University of Mauritius
